Jeff Keighley, organizer for the upcoming World Peace Forum in Vancouver, has decided to eliminate the topic of Genocide in Canada from the agenda of the Forum, and remove Kevin Annett as a speaker at a panel on indigenous issues, to which Annett had already been invited.

 

According to a World Peace Forum administrator, Keighley made the decision to remove Annett after being pressured by Shawn Atleo and Ed John, government-funded officials of the First Nations Summit who have been criticized by Annett and others for their refusal to raise the issue of crimes of genocide by church and state in Canada.

 

We ask people to protest this hypocritical censorship and restriction on freedom of speech at the World Peace Forum. Contact Jeff Keighley at 604-687-3223, ext. 101, and insist that Kevin Annett be restored to the panel on indigenous issues, and given the right to speak on his invaluable research into legal genocide in Canada, at the World Peace Forum.
